Scientific Name: Aplonis panayensis
Population Estimate: Unknown, but Least Concern status
Range / Habitat: Lowland moist forest, mangrove forest, and urban areas in southeast Asia.
Field Notes: Medium-sized passerine. Glossy black / blue / green with bright red eye. Juvenile brown with white breast with brown streaking as in photo above.
Personal Notes: Seen at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Not quite sure what's going on with the White-rumped Shama coming in for an apparent crash landing in the upper left hand corner.
