Golden-browed Chlorophonia


Scientific Name: Chlorophonia callophrys

Population Estimate: Unknown, but Least Concern status

Range / Habitat: Tropical montane moist forest in Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua.

Field Notes: Small passerine with bright green head, neck, back and wings. Belly is bright yellow, more extensive in male. Only male shows bright yellow stripe on brow. Unmistakable in highlands.

Personal Notes: Seen at Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve in Costa Rica.
