Range / Habitat: Dry savannah, arid plains, deserts and open mountain slopes in areas throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
Field Notes: Large brown bird, some white mottling underneath. Naked, red head and neck. Large bill.
Personal Notes: Seen at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
