Ivory-billed Woodcreeper

Scientific Name: Xiphorhynchus flavigaster

Population Estimate: 500K to 5M

Range / Habitat: Year-round resident of lowland moist forest on both slopes of Mexico and Central America.

Field Notes: Large woodcreeper with long, stout, ivory bill. Back and long tail rufous. Head and neck dark brown with bold white streaking. Dark malar stripe. Steak-headed Woodcreeper smaller with slender, decurved bill, finer streaking on head and lack of malar stripe.
