Scientific Name: Anas platyrhynchos
Range / Habitat: Common on almost any wetland in the northern hemisphere. Also found in southern Australia and New Zealand.
Field Notes: Male unmistakable as above. Female similar to many other dabbling ducks. Hybrids also common.
Personal Notes: I know they're ubiquitous in the US, but isn't that the most charming photo?
