Mexican Cacique


Scientific Name: Cacicus melanicterus
Population Estimate: 50K to 500K
Location of Sighting: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Date of Sighting: January, 2010
Notes: Unmistakable, boisterous, birds that travel in flocks. Endemic to Pacific coast of Mexico. Males are darker, have more yellow on their wings, and have a floppy black crest.
